Art Source 2025

It had been quite a long time—around eighteen years—since I last attended Art Source at the RDS in Dublin. When I saw a Facebook post from Claire Buckley, it prompted me to make a return visit. It had also been many years since I’d last met Claire, and in that time we’ve both continued working toward similar creative goals since exhibiting together locally all those years ago. Claire is a fantastic artist who, like me, is drawn to nature and expresses the natural world through her work. She kindly sent tickets for the event to myself and my partner Simon (tickets were €10 each, with another €10 for parking at the RDS).
The immense talent on display at Art Source was unmistakable, with a vibrant mix of mediums ranging from felting to bleaching. Several galleries showcased their collections, including works attributed to Banksy and Francis Bacon in the Gormleys Gallery. Coffee and cake were enjoyed to the sound of a musician playing a grand piano—an elegant backdrop to so much creativity.
Everyone was happy to discuss their techniques and inspirations, and even fellow visitors were eager to share their thoughts on the pieces they admired.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Art Source and will return again at a future date!
